Screen Shot is actually four different types depending on wether you want a selection, the whole screen and wether you want it as a jpg on your desktop or in the clipboard – much better than print screen! Play around with cmd + shift + ctrl + 3 & 4

Also hitting delete doesn’t delete a file, but hitting command + delete does! Handy hints!

1) You can only resize from the bottom right corner of the window!
2) “Screenshot” is Cmd + Shift + 4 (wtf?!)
3) They removed the delete key, and renamed backspace to delete.
4) There is no “cut” only “copy”.
5) Hitting “delete” doesn’t delete a file, you have to right click it and “move to trash”.

I could go on all day… yet here I am, typing this comment from my Mac Book Pro

Easily fixed!

1) Stop using PC’s
2) Key combos!
CMD + W to close the window/tab
CMD + H to “hide” the window (you can alt tab back to it later)
CMD + Q to quit the entire application
CMD + M to minimize
More here. Especially handy on a laptop to avoid using the trackpad
3) A little strange, I agree, but an unavoidable consequence of a document-based window manager instead of a window-based manager.

So far the three most annoying thing about the Mac are:

1. The Command keys become Alt keys when you revert to a PC (alt-c & alt v = EPIC FAIL).
2. The minimise, maximise and close buttons for windows are on the top left.
3. The top bar of the display is the main menu for programs = weird and this requires a lot of extra mouse work (and thinking).

Small list I guess!

I had a similar experience about 6 months ago when i purchased my first ever MacBook Pro After 6 months im still learning things about the machine and im sure theres more to it again.

Still its good to see you giving it a real go.

Why would anyone bother battling overcrowed stores, trying to find carpark for twenty minutes, listening to Christmas carols over and over again, when you can shop from your home and it gets delivered to your door?

I did all my shopping last year online, and it’s so much quicker and easier than doing it in a store.
